HVAC Economic Stimulus Package Provides Tax Credits for Home HVAC Improvements
In 2009, the American government passed the Economic Stimulus Package which provided tax credits for home HVAC improvements. The new law provided homeowners with the ability to claim 30% of the costs of higher efficiency furnace and boilers, air source heat pumps, central air conditioners, and hot water heaters. There was a limit of $1500 and it had to be claimed in either 2009 or 2010. HVAC professionals learned many ways to tap into this resource with training for HVAC.
